Vibe-Coded It Over the Weekend? Here's How to Ship It

Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, v0, Replit. You described the app, the AI built it, and by Sunday night you had something that looked finished. You showed a few people and they liked it. Now someone wants to pay, and you're nervous about letting them.

Signs it needs help

  • Every new prompt fixes one bug and breaks two features.
  • Login, payments or the database fall over once more than a handful of people use it.
  • API keys sit in the frontend, where anyone who opens the browser's developer tools can read them.
  • Database rules let any signed-in user read every other user's data.
  • Nobody can explain how the code works, including the AI that wrote it.

None of this means the weekend was wasted. The idea has been tested, the screens exist and the flows are mapped. What's missing is everything a demo never exercises.

What a rescue covers

  • An audit in plain English. What's broken, what's risky and what's fine, ranked, so you know what to fix first.
  • Security. Keys moved to the server, auth checked, and database rules locked so each user sees only their own data.
  • The flows that make money. Sign-up, payments, emails and the core feature tested end to end, including the ways they fail.
  • Deployment you own. Your accounts, environment variables set properly, error monitoring and backups.
  • Code you can keep building on. Tidy enough that you, another developer or the AI can carry on without breaking it.

No rewrite for the sake of it

Most rescues don't need a rewrite. I keep what works, fix what's dangerous and restructure only what's in your way. If a part needs rebuilding, the audit says so, and says why, before you spend anything on it. And yes, I use AI tools too. I just read what they write.

I build and run production software myself: WeSelling, my own business system, and Hair By Joan's booking and shop site in Abuja. The same habits go into every rescue.

The weekend proved the idea. The rescue makes it safe to charge for.

What it costs

A Vibe-Code Rescue starts at $160 for the audit plus fixes for up to three critical bugs, in three days. Security hardening, auth and database fixes, tested payments and deployment come with the $480 package.
