Your Customers Already Live on WhatsApp

Your customers don't want to download your app or fill in a contact form. They want to send a WhatsApp message, in the app they already have open, and get an answer. For most businesses in Nigeria, and plenty elsewhere, WhatsApp is the shopfront, the order book and the customer service desk at once.

One phone, too many chats

That works until it doesn't. One phone, several staff, and nobody knows who replied to whom. The same questions arrive all day: how much is it, is it in stock, do you deliver to Lekki, are you open on Sunday. A customer messages at midnight, hears nothing, and buys from someone else by morning. Orders agreed in chat never reach the books.

What the agent does

  • Replies instantly, at any hour, about prices, stock, delivery and opening times, using your catalogue and your policies.
  • Sends catalogue items and Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe payment links inside the chat.
  • Logs bookings and orders in your sheet, CRM or online store as they happen.
  • Hands the chat to a person when the customer asks, when money is disputed or when it isn't sure, with the whole conversation attached so nobody makes the customer repeat themselves.
  • Replies in the language the customer writes in, including Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba or French if your customers use them.

Done the official way

I build on the WhatsApp Business Platform through Meta, with your own business number and approved message templates. Tools that automate a personal WhatsApp account get numbers banned, so I don't use them. The agent speaks for your business, and if a customer asks whether they're talking to a bot, it says yes.

It answers from what you give it

Your price list, your stock, your delivery zones, your FAQs. When the answer isn't there, the agent says so and passes the chat on. Each handover shows you a gap to fill, so it can answer more every week.

I use the same handover pattern in WeSelling, my own business software, and in a Telegram notification service I built that sends orders and requests to the right staff member the moment they arrive.

What it costs

The WhatsApp AI Agent starts at $220 for an enquiry agent on the official API with human handover, live in five days. The catalogue, payment links, order logging and reminder templates come with the $560 package. Meta's conversation fees and the AI model's usage are billed to your own accounts, and I'll estimate both for your message volume before we start.

Tell me about your business and I'll tell you what I'd build first: start here or book a free call.
